About Matty

Matty brings 25 years of professional hairdressing experience to the Hair by Joey team. Recently relocated from the Denver Metro area, she specializes in advanced haircutting and modern blonding techniques.

Her extensive training includes certifications with industry leaders such as Guy and Anthony Mascolo of TIGI/Toni & Guy, Chris Baran (former Vidal Sassoon artist and current Redken Master Educator), and in 2024, renowned balayage artist Candy Shaw of Jamison Shaw Hairdressing.

In addition to her hair career, Matty holds a degree in Journalism, Media & Mass Communication from the University of Colorado Boulder. Her background in marketing and creative campaigns spans more than 17 years, but nothing compares to the daily reward of working one-on-one with clients and helping them look and feel their best.
