Steven LaFever began his hair career in 1984 at the prestigious Elizabeth Arden Academy in San Francisco. Immersed in a culture of professionalism and fashion, he refined his craft in high-end hair design and precision color. During his years with the company, Steven worked with countless celebrities and models, mastering the art of runway styling, fashion-forward design, and modern glamour.

In 1987, he earned a coveted spot on the Sebastian Design Team, where he embraced a more avant-garde approach—experimenting with bold color, punk-inspired aesthetics, and asymmetrical cuts. By 1994, Steven relocated to Phoenix, Arizona, helping to launch the renowned Phoenician Spa at Mr. Keating’s legendary resort. Once the spa was firmly established, he struck out on his own, joining a collective of elite independent stylists in Scottsdale’s most sought-after neighborhood.

Known affectionately as a “Hairapist” by many of his clients, Steven’s passion lies in connection. With his gentle approach and warm spirit, he transforms every appointment into a meaningful experience. Skilled in both men’s and women’s cuts and color, Steven is especially celebrated for his chic, easy-to-style short cuts—the signature work that has truly set him apart.
